FOLLOW FOR DREAMS

Barde Ahamed,a Nigerian music promoter didn't bother about what people or even his relatives think about music as a career because of religious and cultural beliefs,he went ahead to follow his dreams and passion.

Having graduated from the American University in Cairo,Faculty of Engineering, Barde put his engineering tools and skills aside and focused on what he loves most;music.Even though he is not a singer/artiste,he markets,promotes and produces music.

He manages all this through a company called Greatklings Entertainment and Media that he founded in 2010 and manages too.The company also organizes concerts and has had a number of them successful.He has worked with artistes like Terry G,9ice Adigun,Reminice,Sean Tizzle,Fuse ODG from West Africa, and Cindy Sanyu and Eddy Kenzo from East Africa and many more.He says he likes it because of the profits he gets from it,and also the connections made with the people he works with.He also says,he gets losses at times but overall,he loves his job.

He has held a number of concerts in in Cairo and Nigeria and is preparing for one soon in Kampala.He has also worked with  many upcoming artistes like Zeinab Walusimbi and others.So if you would like to have your music or singing talent promoted,you can reach out to him.

Seven steps to make it happen basing on the Scripture in the book of Ruth 3:1-5,was an inspiring sermon by Bishop T.D Jakes that I listened to that and I'm glad to share it with you.These apply to one's real life and if followed,it can be really helpful.

Ruth 3:1-5: Then Naomi,Ruth's mother- in- law, said to her,"my daughter,may be I should find a husband and a good home for you. Boaz is our close relative.You worked with his women servants.Tonight he will be working at the threshing floor.Go wash yourself and get dressed.Put on a nice dress,and go down to the threshing floor.But don't let Boaz see you until he has finished eating his dinner.After he eats,he will lie down to rest.Watch him so that you will know where he lies down.Go there and lift the cover off his feet.Then lie down there with Boaz. He will tell you what you should do about marriage.
Then Ruth answered,"I will do what you say." (Easy to Read Version)

Bishop T.D Jakes,the founder and senior pastor of the Potters house of Dallas explained it using seven steps.

1.You must know what you are going after.You must have a specific target that you're aiming at.For example Ruth knew which man she wanted.Don't envy other people's success,God has something special for you.You must wake up with an agenda of what you're going to do.

2.Wash your face.Don't let your past  affect your presence.You can't go forward until you wash your past off.

3. Anoint your face i.e put on a fresh attitude;a glowing positive attitude.If you don't change your attitude,you will miss your altitude.Come to the house of God rejoicing and and giving thanks no matter what's happening in your life and God will bless you.

4.Change your garments.Prepare for something that hasn't happened yet.God is going to bless people who are prepared.Change your life for a place you are going to even though you are not there yet.Be ready.

5.Get down to the floor.Go to the place where the blessing is going to come.In order to get a certain level of blessing,you need to go to a certain place and get away from some places.It doesn't matter where it starts but where it ends.

6.When you get to the place,shut your mouth and wait.All God wants you to do is go to the place and wait.Don't try to make it happen or force it,God is going to open this door for you that no man can close/open.The thing you've been on the verge of is about to happen.What God has for you is surely for you.

7.Never try to shine when the light is on you for example Ruth never spoke to Boaz until Boaz spoke to her.Give it everything you got.

Today's wedding special features the beautiful bride Juliet and awesome groom Anayo.It is special because it has both a Ugandan and Nigerian touch.That combination added glamour to the event as the bride wore both the Kiganda traditonal oufit (gomesi) and also the Nigerian outfit.Everything about this wedding was colourful starting from the decor,to the bride's dresses and the guests.

She wore various dresses and there's no doubt she was gorgeous in all of them.The groom also wore a lovely outfit (agbada) and together,they make a perfect match.

This traditional wedding is one to be remembered as a lot of cultural but entertaining events happened like the splashing of cash and so many more.

I wish the lovely couple a great married life.

As women's day draws by,I would like to appreciate the ladies,women,girls and all females that changed a life,that inspired others,that put a smile on anyone's face,that whispered words of hope in the ears of someone that was almost giving up,that lent a shoulder to another,that gave a life,that planted a tree,and in general,that changed society positively.I celebrate and salute you all.

There are particular women/ladies that have represented the females in a special way and I am totally inspired.

First of all,Lupita Nyong'o who won more than just the Oscar;she won hearts and the red carpet too.A kenyan actress who rose to fame after taking a role in the movie "12 years a slave" says she still can't explain verbally the feeling of suddenly attracting a lot of attention,paparazzi,designers and so much more.She is very modest and has become Hollywood's darling.She has won many awards including best supporting actress at the Academy awards(Oscars),2014,best break out performance at the African- American Film Critics Association.She is a fashion icon and has featured in various magazines and fashion shows like Vogue Italia,Vogue Magazine U.S.A,MIU MIU and so many more.

Secondly,Tessane Chin,a Jamaican singing sensation.This talented lady is the first non-American to win the Voice U.S.A.She wows the crowds with her sweet voice and poise and this enabled her win votes and hence crowned the Voice U.S.A season 5.She has also sung alongside superstars like Shaggy and also has hit songs like Tumbling down,by my side and an album coming up.

Third is Aamito Stacey Lagum, winner of the first ever Africa's Next Top Model cycle 1 by Oluchi.It was a tough competition with various beautiful ladies from all over Africa,but she stood out.This lady is uniquely beautiful and confident.Born in Pader, Uganda, Aamito won a contract to work with DNA model agency,New York one of the best in the world and has secured many fashion deals,graced various magazine covers and has appeared at a number of fashion shows.

These and so many other women/ladies have raised the feminine flag so high.
