NEVER A DULL MOMENT

PIC FREAK

Hi there, thank you for the many shares of my previous post (when in Venice) .I'm glad you liked it.Shout out to all the new readers and those that send me "I like your blogs" messages on facebook ,you are the reason I keep going.I love you.

If you have known me for a while or are close to me,you definitely are aware of my passion for photography,I like taking pictures of anything and of myself! It's always a struggle asking random people to take my pictures (some of whom simply ignore and yet others sweet). If I have to wait for anything/anyone,I'd fill in the gap with atleast selfies.I try to self edit them mostly with my phone and I hope to be a professional photographer one day.If anyone knows any website/organization that offers online photography and editing lessons, and any good cameras, please let me know (by leaving a comment below).I'd be glad if you did.

It's never a dull moment when I'm taking photos and I can sometimes dress up to go nowhere but take photos! I love photo-shoots whether for a cause or none.

Below are some photos from a recent photo-shoot.

Thank you for reading and enjoy the rest of your week.Xo.

WHEN IN VENICE

UNFORGETTABLE TRIP

Hello, thank you for passing by!I hope your week is splendid.Mine feels like a hangover or a dream that I don't want to wake up from!

Last weekend,I got to visit Venice. The amount of excitement I feel can't be expressed through words.Venice has always been one of my dream cities to visit,I've always wished and imagined until finally,I did. Thanks to my awesome friend Agatha and her family for hosting me and moving me around.

The weekend zoomed and was over before I knew it,but I'm thankful for every bit of joy that it brought me.I smiled all through, took photos until my camera and phone batteries died! The place is breath-taking!

That beautiful city is divided into parts; Mestre ( the part on land) and Venezia (the part on water), I visited both.

DAY #1

We visited Mestre and it's beautiful and busy, lots of activities going on;dancing on the streets, shopping, museums, historical monuments and of course the famous square; Piazza Ferretto;where people hang out in restaurants and lots of other shops. Not forgetting that square has tasty ice cream.

DAY#2
Saturday was my highlight for the entire trip.We visited Venezia on boat and saw a lot;the Rialto bridge,St.Mark's basilica, museums, and Venice beach (Pacific ocean).Venice beach is so long that we walked it and failed to see its end,we got exhausted and decided to return home. The beach had so many lovely people, the water was clear blue, the breeze, the scenery, the ships, boats and canoes, everything there was simply beautiful.I can't explain any further, take a look at some photos.

DAY#3

We were as tired as beaten from the Saturday's exhaustion, but we couldn't stop the fun!We visited some shopping malls and did what girls do best--shopping.

Thank you for reading.Xo

HELLO SEPTEMBER

I MISSED YOU

Hey all :-),feels like I took forever to put up a new post, sorry about that,my bad! Shout out to all the readers that keep reading my blogs even when there is nothing new.I love you.

I don't even know where to start from, long story short;I had a lovely holiday. It was all about meeting new people,photo-shoots,tours,and most importantly resting.I covered most of the moments in pictures and videos and I will share some with you.

First of all,I'm so thankful for all the people (some of whom became friends) that I met especially during August and those that I asked to take photos with and of me (it is not easy to get a random person to take photos of you especially if you met them on the road). If you love photos as much as I do,you will agree with me!

Starting with my trip to Bergamo (Italy),I had never been to such a relaxing and calm place.I was told there's a lot to see, though I had just one day planned for it.I enjoyed the scenery and my favorite is a certain spot in the citta where one views the entire place from a higher altitude. That view is priceless.I also appreciated the fact that it has a lot of greenery and is so refreshing.

Would you like to share what you did on your last holiday or where you traveled to? Leave a comment below.

Below are some photos from that trip,I hope you enjoyed reading. Xo

By the way,I've worn this dress before as a skirt :check it out

REPROGRAM YOUR MIND

NEGATIVE THOUGHTS?-HIT THE DELETE BUTTON

Hello everyone, how have you been?I decided to take a month's break from blogging and ended up taking more than planned...haha! I really missed you!

While I was away,I listened to a lot of sermons (all wonderful),had photo-shoots &toured.Trust me it was all fun.I will be sharing the highlights of my holiday, and today,I'll start with a wonderful sermon from Joel Osteen (he is one of my favorite preachers) about reprogramming one's mind.

"Our mind is like a computer, how we program it is very important,if we put the wrong software in it,it will not function as it is designed to",he started. He also added that the reason we don't experience this abundant life is because we've abandoned our software to viruses.

We should dwell on what our creator says about us (our original software) and use the delete button(get rid of) to erase all contaminating thoughts like "I'm not good enough","I can't do this job",most of which the comes from people that the enemy uses.

KEY POINTS

  • God gives you grace for every season, arms you with strength for every battle.
  • You can become what God planned you to be, all you have to do is get rid of negative thoughts.
  • Let people say what they want, you control your own soil;water good seeds and delete bad ones(i.e don't dwell on them)
  • God didn't make you faulty, sub par,he created a master piece (moreover in his image)

HABITS FOR A HEALTHY SPIRIT,BODY AND SOUL

THE GOD HABITS

Hello there,I believe you all had a wonderful week!I did.

Ever imagined if your thoughts and actions had any effect to your body, soul or even spirit?Yes they do!While listening to Joyce Meyer's sermon this week,I landed on this particular topic,"THE GOD HABITS"

Habits are made through reputation and can be broken by reputation. Distinguished characteristics that one possesses may affect their decisions and therefore their habits for example people pleasers, proud people, they are always bothered about what others may say about or think of them!

The habit of being decisive. The best is to make a good decision, second best is to make a bad decision and the worst is to make no decision at all.Always remember people who stay in the middle of the road are always run over..Make a decision for we make good decision from experience which comes from making bad decisions.

The habit of thinking right and speaking right.Your thoughts always precede your actions. One can't maintain good habits if they have bad thinking.Usually what is on our mind is what we do.Often when someone has idle talk, they have idle action, for example,if someone always says,"I will never get better",they always don't work hard to get out of their uncomfortable situations.

I encourage us to always think ,speak and act good.

Have a blessed Sunday and thank you for reading.

THE GREATEST TEST IN LIFE

HOW DO YOU USE YOUR POWER?

Hello there,I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.I came across a great sermon by Bishop T.D Jakes and I would like to share it with you.

It's about power. One of the greatest tests in life is how to handle power. It increases our options and hence our tests.People with abusive power can take all your freedom and sometimes your life.

It's best you listen to his(Jakes') exact words.Watch Sermon

Enjoy the rest of the day.Xo

STAY OPEN TO CHANGE

CHANGE IS INEVITABLE

"The  only person that is ready for a change is a wet baby",said Joel Osteen. I'm so inspired by his sermons that choosing which one to share is hard for me sometimes. His messages are so powerful that I could relate to almost each of his sermons.I wonder if he ever runs out of topics!

We usually don't like change because we are usually comfortable where we are.We often get stuck into what God used to do instead of moving into what God is about to do.We should always remember that God works in seasons, what worked five years ago may not work today.

If one needs to be successful, one ought to be open to change .Always stay open to advice, suggestions especially those from family members, because these people love us and are very significant in our lives. These are people that God placed directly into our lives.

Often.we get used to temporary provision, the good news is that God loves us to keep us just there. He has got an abundance of blessings for us.

Highlights

  • A minor adjustment leads to a major improvement.
  • If you don't get rid of your old friends, you will never meet the right ones.
  • If something seems more than a burden than a blessing, that is a sign that God has something better for you in future.
  • God will take certain things away because He's creating space for what He has in stock for you.
  • What was meant for your harm,God will use for your opportunity.

IT'S NOT OVER

IT'S NOT OVER

Hello there! Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.I'm a big fan of Joel Osteen (preacher) and his sermons.I could spend the whole day listening to him without getting distracted. The previous sermon I listened to was so powerful and I would like to share it with you.

Your mind will tell you all the time,"It's late, you're not going to make it,you have failed",but it's not over,God makes the final decision.
The doctor's report can say,"you will never be healed",God has a different report.

God has not brought you this far to abandon you.Just because you don't see a way doesn't mean there's no way.He is about to breath new life into your dreams, health, relationship and life.
If you are still sick,it's not over,God has set health on your way.Start believing, expecting and dreaming again.

You may not be able to beat the competition ,God may remove the competition. He has all ways to take you to destiny. All set backs are not meant to defeat us,they are to promote us.

Always remember that you are full of resurrection power and no obstacle is too large for you.No matter what happens in your life, have this attitude;it's not over.

Have a great Sunday and week a head.Xo

DETOXING YOUR MIND

CLEANSE YOUR MIND

Just like detoxing a body;ridding one's body of all toxins and waste, one needs to cleanse up their mind of all worrying thoughts, thinking what you can't do,what you've failed to achieve. These toxic thoughts contaminate our lives and affect our confidence, self esteem and attitude.

Just like in proverbs 4:23 (above all,be careful what you think because your thoughts control your life),those negative thoughts become strongholds that poison our future.

How to get rid of negative thoughts.

  • Make a decision you are not going to dwell on negative pasts anymore. For example,I missed so many good opportunities, condemnation, bitterness.
  • Keep your mind with thoughts of victory and faith.
  • Always remember what God blesses,no man an curse, before any man put a curse on you,God had put a blessing on you before. You are not what people say,you are what God says.
Have a blessed Sunday.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR VALUE

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR SELF WORTH  FROM?

Deep down we need to know that we are important, that our life matters and that we have something great to offer. So often we base our sense of value on our looks, what we've achieved, occupation;which reduce our sense of worth because sometimes these aspects make us feel we are not good enough!

And so many times we base our value on how someone treats us and how they make us feel, and when they hurt or disappoint us,we turn the blame to ourselves. This is because we are getting our self worth from the wrong places.

Our value should come solely from the fact that we are children of the most high God.The value that God put in us is permanent.Nothing that we do or anyone does can or will ever change that value.

Someone might have hurt you;don't internalize it because you aren't the problem, they are.The good news is that they might have rejected you but God accepts you.He has already approved you.

Base your sense of value on what God says about you.He looks at us like his great masterpieces and to him we are each uniquely special.

Always remember, the one thing that creates value is who the owner is.Remember that you are so valuable because of who your owner is-God.The greatest enemy of value is rejection.Accept yourself, know your attached value because you were wonderfully created.

Great inspiration from one of Joel Osteen's sermons.

Happy new month.Xo

LIVE TODAY LIKE IT'S THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE

ACTING TOWARDS GODLINESS

The best things in life are things we can control. 2 Peter says we have equal faith because of the righteousness that comes with Jesus Christ. We've been given everything that pertains to life and Godliness. We have the choice to make our prayer today the best ever,to lead the most holy life ever and so many other things. On the other hand,we can't control our health, our relationships and our futures for example, but with faith in God,we can make them better.

Great message from Francis Chan (a preacher and founder of Eternity Bible College)! He also encouraged us to make every effort towards self control,as this boosts our faith, for example,"twisting one's tongue" instead of lashing out at somebody."We need to act towards Godliness",he added.

Watch full sermon here

Bible quotations

2 Peter 1:3-9 :Jesus has the power of God.And his power has given us everything we need to live a life devoted to God.We have these things because we know him.Jesus chose us by his Glory and goodness, through which he also gave us the very great and rich gifts that he promised us.With these gifts you can share in being like God.And you will escape the ruin that comes to people in the world because of the evil things they want.
Because you have blessings,do all you can to add to your life these things:to your faith add goodness;to your goodness add knowledge;to your knowledge add self control;to your self control add patience;to your patience add devotion to God;to your devotion add kindness toward your brothers and sisters in Christ, and to this kindness add love.If all these things are in you and growing, you will never fail to be useful to God.You will produce the kind of fruit that should come from your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But those who don't grow in these blessings are blind. They cannot see clearly what they have. They have forgotten that they were cleansed from their past sins.

Have a blessed Sunday.

IT'S MY YEAR OF JUBILEE

LIVING IN JUBILEE

According to Isaiah,in the Old Testament (Bible),jubilee used to happen every 50 years when all servants were set free to meet their families, all property was returned to its owners, all prisoners were set free;it was a year of great celebration.

"We won't have to for wait 50 years but to live in Jubilee",said Joel Osteen in one of his sermons. This great sermon just came at the right time in my life.Every word he mentioned pierced through my ears, down to my heart. These are the most encouraging words I've listened to in a long time.

"For whatever you've desired, wished or hoped for, just say : thank you Lord that this is my year of jubilee and everything that has my name on it is being released",he continued.
Everything ranging from health, joy, peace, love, career, business, job opportunities, children, spouses, family, just to mention a few, will be granted to you in an accelerating way,it will take just a fraction of the time you expected to receive it.

He also encouraged us to stop complaining and instead start thinking jubilee thoughts for God works where there's faith and expectancy.

Highlights
-God's dream for your life is so much bigger than your own.
-It may seem impossible but when jubilee comes, nothing can stop God from releasing what has your name on.

Bible verses quoted

LUKE 4:19 :This is the year for God to act

Isaiah 61:2 :He sent me to announce that time has come for the Lord to show his kindness.

THE SECRET TO BLESSINGS IN YOUR LIFE

ARE YOU WILLING TO BE A BLESSING?

The key to be blessed is the willingness to be a blessing. We should have a goal everyday to do at least one good thing for everyone else. You can't be good to everyone but you need to be good to the people God has put in your life. You don't have to do something so big in order to bless someone, even small acts of kindness can,for example give a compliment, lift, tip, share with the hungry and many more.

Always remember that if you help make someone's dream come to pass,God will always make your dream come true, as well.
It's not about how can I get blessed but how can I be a blessing, not what can I get but what can I give, not what can you do for me but what can I do for you.

Highlights

  • Our ministry is to be good to people.
  • If you'd make someone's day,God will always make your day.
  • Greatest joy is in giving not in getting.
Scripture says;give and your gifts will come back to you running over/multiplied.

Also being good to people is contagious,it encourages others to do the same. For example when you give someone a compliment,it makes them happy and encourages them to please others.

You don't have to be well off to give, being good to people in your time of need is the most powerful thing to do.

Bible verses

Galatians 6:10 :When we have the opportunity to do good to anyone,we should do it.But we should do it.But we should give special attention to those who are in the family of believers.

Proverbs 11:17: People who are kind will be rewarded for their kindness, but cruel people will be rewarded with trouble.
