HOW TO AVOID BAD BREATH

FIGHT BAD BREATH

Bad breath seems like no problem, but is a put off for so many people. It is caused by excess bacteria accumulating in one's mouth. We some times have nothing to do with but can do something about it.

There are certain healthy foods  we consume that breed a strong smell in our bodies and mouth especially, which may turn out unpleasant to our neighbours. Foods like onions, garlic contain smelly sulfur components that are absorbed by the body and blood stream and are expelled when one exhales.

Coffee, soda and alcoholic drinks too have got something to do with bad smell;they have a drying agent which reduces saliva flow and allows growth of various bacteria in the mouth.

However, one can fight bad breath by consuming more water which promotes the production and flow of saliva which acts like a cleansing element.Fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C are also helpful in fighting the problem for example apples, carrots, broccoli, parsley.

One could also avoid bad breath by having sugarless gum as it stimulates saliva production, foods and drinks containing mint and foods rich in vitamin D like milk, orange juice, eggs and others.

One needs to remember to brush their teeth often as this removes the taints of food stuck on one's teeth.
